Hey guys!
We’ve got a packed one for you this week. After a long wait, we’re finally launching the SuperVinoBros Wine Club (yes, it’s happening!), we’re recapping an unforgettable rooftop party with our friends at NY Beverages, and we’re shining the spotlight on one of our favorite producers in Beaujolais, Yann Bertrand. Let’s get into it! 🍷
Three bottles a month, shipped straight to you, curated from the growers and gems we can’t stop talking about
After a long wait, we’re beyond excited to finally share something we’ve been working toward for a while, the SuperVinoBros Wine Club!
For the longest time, we’ve wanted a way to get the wines we’re most excited about into your hands, and we think this is the best way to do it. Each month, we’ll curate 3 bottles we can’t stop thinking about and send them straight to your door.
These won’t be bottles you’d normally see stocked at your local wine shop. They’re the wines we’d open if you were sitting at the table with us, sometimes a new vintage from a grower we just visited, other times a hidden gem we just discovered. Alongside the club, we’ll also share content each month that dives deeper into the stories behind the bottles we selected.
The lineup will change monthly, but we promise it’ll always be great wine. Membership is $105 for three bottles, shipping included (US only for now). Space is limited to start, so be sure to grab your spot!
You can sign up here, we’d love to have you!
Rooftop views, great music, and incredible wine at 53 Scott in Bushwick
This past Saturday, we teamed up with the crew from NY Beverages to throw a wine party.
For those unfamiliar, NY Beverages is one of the most exciting wine event series happening in New York right now. Started by four friends, Hank, Fernelly, Jacob, and Jake, their vision was simple: host parties with incredible music while celebrating what makes wine special: sharing, discovery, and community. Over the past three years, they’ve turned that idea into a movement, with events at venues like Roberta’s, the Knockdown Center, and Public Records. Every party I’ve been to has been one of the most memorable nights of the month.

They typically host events every month or two, with rotating locations across the city. Each one is carefully curated, the music is always on point, the wine selection thoughtful and eclectic, and that balance is what makes their gatherings feel both high energy but also approachable and welcoming.

All of this is why we were so excited to cohost with them at 53 Scott, a rooftop venue in Bushwick with sweeping views of the city. The night was a success: great music, a crowd that really showed up, and plenty of incredible wine (which, yes, sold out a little early). Thanks to all that could attend.

If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry, there’s good news. NY Beverages is already planning their next party this October, and if you haven’t been to one yet, you should absolutely go. We won’t be cohosting that one, but if this past weekend was any indication, it’s going to be another amazing night of music, wine, and community. Their next event hasn’t been announced just yet, but you can stay up to date with all their upcoming parties on their Instagram here:
Their parties are great reminder of how special it is when wine, music, and community all come together. We’re looking forward to carrying that energy into the Fall too, both in New York and beyond. Stay tuned 👀
One of our favorite parts of wine is the discovery: we’re constantly being put on to new regions, producers, and cuvées from our friends. We’ll never be able to try EVERY wine, but we want to take a moment to mention some producers that excite us!
Yann Bertrand 🍷
Location: Fleurie, Beaujolais, France 📍

Raised in Fleurie, Yann Bertrand never set out to be a winemaker. After a short stint studying commerce and traveling the French Alps, he returned home and found himself drawn in by the world of wine shops, bars, and the passionate vignerons he met along the way. Inspired by winemaking legends like Jean Foillard, Yvon Métras, and Jacques Neauport, he decided that if he pursued winemaking, it would be with the same passion and authenticity he admired in them.

At Domaine Les Bertrands, Yann farms 7.5 hectares of old vines (some more than a century old) on Fleurie’s sandy granite soils. Certified organic since 2013, the estate is worked by hand and with biodynamic principles on a small portion. His winemaking is firmly in the Beaujolais naturalist tradition: whole cluster carbonic fermentations, native yeasts, no SO2 during élevage, and bottling with minimal additions.

In 2016, after two small harvests, Yann launched a small négociant line, applying the same strict criteria: only fruit from healthy, chemical-free vineyards, always harvested by his own team. In little more than a decade, he’s established himself as one of Beaujolais’ most exciting voices, celebrated for Gamay that feels both deeply traditional and unmistakably his own.

I’ve always been drawn to Yann’s wines. At first, it was the simple yet striking labels that caught my eye, but it’s what’s inside the bottle that keeps me coming back. Every wine I’ve had from him has been laser-focused, vibrant, and an absolute joy to drink. Just this past Sunday, I opened a bottle of his Phénix 2023 cuvée, and it only reaffirmed my admiration. His wines are what made me fall in love with Fleurie, and to me, Yann remains one of the most exciting producers in Beaujolais today.
